4 Different Ways to Rock Eyeliner

Hello again,

As difficult as eyeliner can be, it definitely pays off to keep practicing. When experimenting with different types of liner a lot can go wrong, trust me, I know. Most of the time my eyeliner ends up looking like Cleopatra, which is fine if that's the look you're going for, but most of the time it's not for me. But like the saying goes, you can't have success without failure. So now that I have encouraged you to not give into the the dreaded eyeliner, let's look at 4 awesome ways to rock eyeliner.

Glitter Eyeliner

There are a lot of ways to do this, the easiest being with glitter eyeliner. But, if you're like me and don't have any, you can use a glittery eyeshadow or glue and glitter. In the picture below I used the Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow in High Wire.

Blurred Lines

This look is a little more subtle and can be used as an alternative to a smokey eye as they give a similar effect. All you need to do for this is draw in your liner then blend and buff it so there are no visible lines. Make sure that the colour is more prominent towards the flick for an ombre effect. You can build on as much liner as you like for a more dramatic effect. I used a NARS brown Eyeliner Pencil for the look below.

Coloured Liner

If you haven't got a coloured eyeliner pencil an easy alternative is to use coloured eyeshadow. All you do to apply this is with an angled brush swipe in across your lash line and the make a small, simple flick. This is a great way to add a delicate pop of colour to any look. I used my Chi Chi OMG palette.

Classic Eyeliner

You can't really go wrong with this timeless look. Saying that, it is still a skill (that I have nowhere near mastered) to get a nice straight line. But as always, remember that practice makes perfect!

Catcha later,
