How to Straighten Your Hair in UNDER 10 Minutes

Hi beautifuls,

Full disclosure: these tips and tricks may not work for super thick, curly or long hair, buuuutttt, you'll never know if you don't try, so give them a go, it could change your life!

If you hate getting up early just so you have time in the morning to straighten your hair, then you're in the right place.
If you can't straighten your hair the night before because it gets curly so quickly, then you're in the right place.
If you just love awesome, helpful, tips and tricks, then you're in the right place.

So, what are these awesome, helpful tips and tricks, you ask?
Let's have a look...

1. Section your hair

Especially if your hair's not naturally very straight or thin, it makes a world of difference when you use clips to section in and do it bit by bit. And the best part is that because you're only having to straighten each bit once, it doesn't actually take more time. I find the best way to section my hair is into 3 sections each side. I first do the bottom layer of my hair, then do the 2nd layer, then the top layer. I do this on both sides of my head.

2. Brush as you go

If you straighten knotty hair, odds are you'll have to do it again. So to save time and effort, brush each section before straightening it.

3. Oils, oils, oils

One of the best products I have ever put on my hair has to be Argan Oil! It is absolutely incredible, it softens your hair immediately and gives it that silky smooth look. I like to apply it as soon as I wash my hair when it's still damp. That way in the morning I can straighten my hair easily because it is super smooth and knot free!

4. Use heat protector

This is by far the most important point. Without heat protector, applying heat to your hair will very quickly ruin it and make it weak, thin, burnt and even can break it. It is super important that you apply protector to each section before you apply heat. I prefer to use a spray protector rather than a cream or gel. This is simply because it dries quicker and applies more evenly across your hair. However, it is totally your choice what type you use, as long as you use one.

5. Don't over-do it

So this one isn't exactly about speed but it is a very important one: don't straighten your hair too often. For most people, once a week is the most that they can straighten their hair without doing too much damage but it differs for everyone. I suggest only straightening it for occasions, not daily.

Much love,
